Nissan 350Z & Infiniti G35 VQ35 Tuning

Custom calibration for VQ35DE and VQ35HR cars, from responsive naturally aspirated street builds to high-output forced-induction combinations.

AdminTuning supports both major VQ35 variations found in the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35. These engines share a name, but their airflow models, cam control, rev ranges and tuning needs are not interchangeable. The calibration must match the exact engine, ECU, fuel system and hardware.

VQ35DE tuning

A good VQ35DE tune coordinates MAF scaling, fueling, ignition timing, cam control and throttle response around the car's exact intake, exhaust and fuel. Forced-induction cars also need injector and fuel-pump characterization, boost strategy and safeguards appropriate to the hardware.

VQ35HR tuning

The higher-revving VQ35HR uses dual intakes and a different control strategy. Balanced bank-to-bank airflow, accurate fuel trims and careful optimization of ignition and cam targets are central to a strong naturally aspirated setup, while boosted cars require the same disciplined fuel-system and boost-control planning as any high-output build.

Before ordering a tune

  • Identify whether the car is VQ35DE or VQ35HR.
  • Provide the complete intake, exhaust, injector, pump and forced-induction specifications.
  • Resolve vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, misfires and sensor faults.
  • Use the fuel and ethanol content the calibration is being built around.
